On the occasion of August 30, the International Day against enforced disappearance Khiam Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture organizes a meeting for a number of mothers of the missing in his headquarters in Cornish Al Mazraa.
The meeting was opened by the Secretary General of the center, Mohammed Safa and consider August 30, an occasion to remind thousands of missing and send greetings to their families who kept this issue alive over the past years.
He welcomed the assignment of the Justice Minister Chakib Crdobawi who refer project of formation of the National Independent on missing persons to the government, demanding that the work of the Commission to not limited only on the missing in Syrian prisons, but all missing wherever they are in Syria or during the civil war or Israel and warning of dropping the issue of missing and bodies of the martyrs in Israeli jails of the project description ,called the government to approve the International Convention on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance and social integration and rehabilitation of the health and social to the families of the missing.
Safa called also to release all Lebanese, Syrians and Turks kidnapped, considering kidnapping and counter-kidnapping a crime, also called on the government to investigate all abductions and non-impunity.
He announced full solidarity with the issue of Imam Moussa Sadr and his two companions urged the new Libyan authorities not to lag in uncovering the fate of Imam Sadr and his two companions.
